Tēnā koe, ko Dr Charlotte Daker taku ingoa.
I enjoy diagnosing and managing a wide range of general gastroenterological and hepatological conditions. Within this scope, I have a special interest and expertise in neurogastroenterology and functional gut disorders. I offer a full range of endoscopic procedures, including diagnostic, therapeutic and screening gastroscopy and colonoscopy and capsule endoscopy, alongside specialised services including ACNES injections, advanced manometry, and Gastric Alimetry.
My belief in a collaborative, non-siloed holistic model of care means I work closely with allied health professionals—such as dietitians, physiotherapists, and psychologists—to ensure comprehensive and joined-up treatment plans for my patients.
My involvement in clinical research, medical education as a lecturer at the University of Auckland and an examiner for the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) provides me with a broad, evidence-based perspective that benefits all my patients.
Originally from the UK, my path to becoming an NZ-trained specialist included a unique sabbatical sailing the Pacific as a medical officer. Outside of medicine, my interests range from Iron Maiden to Ironman triathlons.
As a founding member of Allevia GI Institute I am proud to share this patient-focused philosophy with my colleagues, Dr Zoe Raos, Dr Nathan Atkinson, Dr Charlotte Rowan and our nurses Adele Mills and Melanie Bell. Our team-based approach ensures every patient benefits from our collective expertise and a commitment to exceptional care.
