Dr. Nagham Al-Mozany is a New Zealand trained General and Colorectal Surgeon. She is a Consultant at Auckland City Hospital and a Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Auckland.

Nagham obtained her medical degree from the University of Otago and her Fellowship in General Surgery from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2011. She gained research experience in pelvic exenteration surgery for advanced colorectal cancers and benign pelvic floor disorders at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney. She obtained her Masters in Colorectal Surgery from the University of Sydney in 2012.

She is a member of the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australasia (CSSANZ), the European Society of Coloproctology (ESCP) and the Gastroenterological Society of Australia (GESA).

Nagham’s primary interest is laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery and colonoscopy because of the high volumes of such procedures during her Australian appointments.

Her interests include:

• Colorectal Cancer
• Diverticular Disease
• Pelvic floor disorders such as faecal incontinence and rectal prolapse
• Perianal conditions such as haemorrhoids, fissures and fistulas
• Endoscopy-Colonoscopy with biopsy and/or removal of polyps
• General Surgery conditions such as hernia and skin surgery.
